Josh Lucas marries meteorologist Brianna Ruffalo at the Vatican

Josh Lucas and Brianna Ruffalo have tied the knot.

The Yellowstone star married the Los Angeles meteorologist at a ceremony inside the Vatican in Rome on Friday.

“Mr. and Mrs. Incredibly blessed to receive this sacrament together inside the heart of the Catholic Church and holy city,” Ruffalo (who is not related to Mark Ruffalo) wrote in an Instagram post caption. The post showed off photos of the couple at St. Peter’s Basilica.

“I love you!” Lucas wrote in a comment. “Easily one of the greatest days of my life. I am so, so grateful.”

In a separate postRuffalo thanked the wedding planners and church members who were instrumental in her faith and her wedding.

“We are grateful to the many people who helped us get to this moment in the Catholic Church,” the ABC7 personality wrote. “I am so thankful for Father Winters at the parish I grew up in and Sister Angelica at the archdiocese of Los Angeles, as well as several others within the archdiocese. We also absolutely couldn’t have done this without our stellar wedding planning team who coordinated with the Vatican. Thank you for making our wedding day so beautiful and easy.”

Lucas also shouted out the wedding team in his own post. “A huge thank-you to deeply talented @caterinaerrani_photography & to @weddings_italy @paolo_nassi @JinaneKafrouny @sena_wedding_world, who helped make the dream of wedding in the #vatican come true,” he wrote. “Many, many people to thank for this to come…”

The Sweet Home Alabama star announced his engagement to Ruffalo in June 2024 after they had been dating for two years.

“For the last two years in every way and every day this beautiful soul has made me and my life better, deeper, and more whole,” Lucas wrote on Instagram. “I am so grateful and thrilled she said ‘yes.’ I WAY love you, Brianna. & Thank you to our families and all the people and places that made this come true. I am absolutely aware I got crazy lucky.”

Lucas recently popped up in the Apple TV+ series Palm Royale alongside Christian wiig and Ricky Martinand also starred opposite Emily Bett Rickards and Walton Goggins in the Mildred Burke biopic Queen of the Ring.

The actor will next appear in the Mark Wahlberg crime thriller By Any Meanswhich will reunite him with his Sweet Home Alabama costar Ethan Embry, and in the coming-of-age comedy The Marshmallow Experimentwhich stars Sam McCarthy, Dafne Keen, Steve Buscemiand Johnny Knoxville.
