Hilaria Baldwin has caused a disturbance in the force.
As a contestant on season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, Baldwin sparked a heated argument between the judges with her quickstep with pro partner Gleb Savchenko.
Baldwin danced to the cantina band theme from Star Wars: A New Hope, dressed as a space princess with Savchenko in Jedi robes. The routine earned raves from judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
“I was looking for something wrong,” said Tonioli. “I didn’t see it.”

Inaba got emotional about Baldwin’s status as one of the older celebs on this season. “As women, sometimes I feel like there’s so much pressure and we have to prove ourselves all the time, especially women of a certain age,” the judge said. “It’s a real thing. I know you’re feeling this.”
Inaba continued, “I want you to know that tonight what I saw was just you dancing, fully in love with what you’re doing, not trying to prove anything, and it was beautiful. Now, here is a contender.”
Derek Hough was the last judge to comment, and he didn’t see eye to eye with his peers.
“I see your amazing talent,” he began. “One thing with this dance for me personally, if I’m being honest with you, there wasn’t enough quickstep. Compared to a lot of quicksteps tonight, I think there could’ve been a little bit more…It was good but I think that you have potential-”
Inaba interrupted Hough by poking him in the side, disagreeing with him. “Naughty, naughty Derek,” added Tonioli, before adding, “Let him finish, thank you.” Hough got Inaba to stop poking him by proclaiming, “By the beard of Zeus!”

He then finished his remarks, saying, “What I was going to say was to feel like you have that breakout moment where you’re like, ‘I’m here, look at me, here I am,’ there needs to be something that just sets you apart. What is that? Think about that for next week. What’s that moment?”
“It was that dance,” yelled Inaba, interrupting again.
The scores reflected the judges’ differing opinions, with Hough downgrading from his eight of last week to a score of seven and Inaba nudging up to an eight. All three judges scores combined for a total of 23 out of 30, which still marks Baldwin’s highest total yet.
Dancing With the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+, and streams the next day on Hulu.
