Every ‘Love Island USA’ couple that’s still together

  • Love Island USA wraps up its seventh season on Sunday, July 13.
  • Over the years, the dating series has led to several real-life love stories.
  • Some of those couples are still going strong today.

Since premiering in 2019, Peacock‘s Love Island USA has dominated the reality dating scene right alongside its U.K. predecessor.

The series follows a group of singles (called Islanders) living together in a luxurious tropical villa. The goal for the Islanders is to find a connection and win over the viewers watching at home. Couples face twists, re-couplings, and eliminations, and in the end, it’s the audience who votes on who wins the show’s $100,000 prize.

Ahead of tonight’s Love Island USA season 7 finale, we thought we’d check in on which of the series’ couples have managed to keep the spark alive once the cameras stopped rolling.

Read on to see which Love Island USA couples are still together and have successfully turned their summer flings into real relationships.

Status: Engaged

Love Island USA has its first engagement. Season 5 winners Marco Donatelli and Hannah Wright recently made history as the first couple from the U.S. franchise to take things from the villa to the altar.

Donatelli popped the question on May 28 during a beach getaway in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, telling PEOPLE that he started planning the proposal “nine months” in advance, locking down the details by December 2024.

“This is about us, but most importantly, it’s about you and everything you have done to change my life over the past two years,” Donatelli said in a heart-melting video of the proposal. “You are my pride, my joy, and my everything.”

Wright said she had no idea it was coming. “I was shocked, I had no idea, and I was convinced that we were solely there for a vacation trip,” she said. “I was crying the whole time, the setup was beautiful and felt like a dream.”

The pair met when Hannah entered as a bombshell in episode 2 and chose Marco as her partner. Sparks flew fast. By their final date, they were officially a couple. And the rest, as they say, is history.

It’s been two years, and Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen and Taylor Nicole Smith are still going strong. The Love Island USA season 5 fan favorites, who placed third, will celebrate their second anniversary this August, and, yes, love is still very much in the air.

Though they’re still navigating a long-distance relationship, the couple makes it work and even keeps fans in the loop via social media. On June 28, Bergie posted a photo carousel from their time aboard the Cruise of Deception. The following week, Taylor shared an amusing Instagram Reel joking about not having Bergie around to help her grill.

Bergie had a slow start in the Love Island USA villa, struggling to find a lasting connection until Casa Amor brought Taylor into the picture.

The two clicked instantly, leaving the show as a couple. After the season wrapped, Bergie told Entertainment Weekly that he learned “a ton about myself in terms of what I want in a relationship,” adding that Taylor “has everything that I want and I have everything that she wants.”

After their big win, Kordell made the move to Los Angeles to be closer to Serena, who was already based there. But don’t expect a moving-in announcement soon, as Serena told PEOPLE in October 2024 that they won’t be living together until there’s a ring on her finger.

Since leaving the villa, the couple has been booked, busy, and incredibly in demand. They’re set to appear in the Peacock spinoff Love Island: Beyond the Villaand have landed some major brand campaigns, including a Valentine’s Day collaboration with Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty.

They also surprised fans with starring roles in Summer Walker’s lyric video for “Heart Of A Woman,” and appeared in a series of CeraVe commercials that aired on Peacock throughout June.

As for how things are going, Serena summed it up in a recent Teen Vogue interview. “I feel like we’re still in the honeymoon phase, and I can’t believe that it’s been a year now,” she said. “It feels like we’re on cloud nine. Both have each other’s Instagram handles in their bios, complete with a red heart emoji. They’ve also teamed up for several Valentine’s Day commercials, including campaigns for Raising Cane’s and BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse.

Looking ahead, JaNa and Kenny told Us Weekly that they have plans to celebrate their first anniversary. “There’s a trip planned,” Kenny said, while JaNa teased, “I asked him if we could go to Italy for our one-year, so…”

Status: Dating

Unlike other couples who found love in the villa, the same can’t be said for season 5’s Carmen Kocourek and season 6’s Connor Newsum. Though they appeared on separate seasons, the two connected in the aftermath and recently went public with their relationship.

Connor hard-launched their romance on July 2 with an Instagram post featuring several photos of the happy couple. Carmen commented with heart and angel emojis, and shared her own post about the pairing the next day. Connor took to the comment section and shared a teddy bear emoji, officially sealing the deal.

Fans may remember Carmen from season 5, where she entered the villa on day 2 and briefly coupled with Victor Gonzalez. She then moved on with Kenzo Nudo, and they stayed together through the season and finished in fourth place. Carmen and Kenzo dated for nearly a year before calling it quits in June 2024.

Connor’s journey, on the other hand, was less eventful. He entered on day 2 of season 6, coupling first with JaNa Craig before moving on to Leah Kateb. They both made it to the finals with their current partners, however, leaving Connor to exit on day 15.
